Rockville is the fifth largest city in Maryland and is the county seat of Montgomery County. It occupies 13.03 square miles within the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area and is located 12 miles northwest of the nation˙s capital. A major portion of the prestigious I-270 corridor is within the City˙s corporate limits.
Another distinguishing feature of our community is the city government, which continues to strive to make Rockville one of the nation˙s very best places to live and work. Along this line, we were especially pleased that Money Magazine ranked Rockville No. 26 in its 2006 list of ´Best Places to Live in the United States.ˇ
